Colorado Passes Measures to Feed All Public School Kids by Taxing the Wealthy Excess funds from the school meals program would be redirected toward the state-managed SNAP program.

Colorado voters overwhelmingly supported a pair of ballot measures that increase taxes on wealthy households to ensure every public school child in the state is able to access free meals at school. It also provides support for school districts to buy food that is local, and gives raises to staffers.
