finally finished/watched Trigun: Stampede today. really cool to see 3d anime as being its own thing! story wise, its really difficult to beat Maxmium, which was probably my favorite Manga ive read this year

First thought was that the rendering times were too long or the software didn't support it, but the FF7 FMV team was probably using Alias PowerAnimator, which had mesh skinning for 3-4 bones per vertex! The final cutscenes with Red XIII running are skinned (unless they did a good job of hiding it!)
