Meta-gaming in a #ttrpg is always a tricky balance, but last night one of my players said "We are ABSOLUTELY killing this guy, because we are not giving John that clock to tick in the background", which speaks to a well-deisgned mechanic *and* properly understanding their GM's level of dickery.

Putting Korg in the game with no Korg stats anywhere is one of my biggest complaints (of which I got a lot about the starter set adventure).

We have enough evidence for UBI in general that this policy should be a given. But the difference is, to understand UBI works is to believe that people are fundamentally good. And a big chunk of society is built around the belief, *must maintain the belief* that people are fundamentally bad.
