At the post office I'm being loaned out too We are short on trucks. So now I get to load my Camry up with Amazon packages and try to deliver a hundred of them out of that instead of a USPS truck.

But don't worry I get paid $0.95 a mile for the wear and tear on my 150,000 mi vehicle!

I work for the post office and have delivered literally thousands of Amazon packages. Tons of rural customers don't get Amazon delivery so USPS delivers most of it, FedEx and UPS delivers the rest but a lot of the time they just hand it off to us also.

I just get a poinsettia every year.

My place is too small for a tree (I'd get a live one and not store a fake one) and I don't know how my cat would react.

Then I keep the poinsettia alive until spring and put it outside until it's time to bring the plants in and then I finally throw it away. Lol

I do agree with your argument but it requires a leap of faith to take Republicans at their word and think that they are honestly trying to "run the country" when that's not what I see them doing.

Saying they are going to "run the country like a business" requires taking them in good faith. If they wanted to run the country like a business they would balance the budget. But here they are arguing for a dead ceiling extension. They're here to enrich themselves and exploit us, not to govern

I guess the message needs to be sent but I've seen it explained that what she did doesn't meet the definitions of a threat. (It wasn't specific, it wasn't directed at any one person, she doesn't know where the employee she said it to is, etc.)
