There has been much celebrating in my family the last two weeks. My parents' 60th anniversary and my husband's 60th birthday. So grateful we were able to make special memories.

A lot of planning, organizing, and executing to make it all happen. Today is a me day 'cause I am tuckered out.

This makes me extremely sad.

According to the condo rumor mill, the condo is used as a rental and may have had structural changes done which are against the condo rules. All speculation at this point.

There was a cardiac arrest in one of the townhouses on the 2nd level. For some reason, they couldn't take the stairs to take them out, so they had to remove them through the upstairs window. I live a few doors down.

Just saw my first f**k Carney flag. I wish people behaved like adults.

The other day I saw a post on FB that the IWK has a podcast on Menopause. The comments from men (and some women) were infuriating. WTF is happening anymore? I am still thinking about them.

Back to work tomorrow after a week off. I like my job but I like being home more 😌

Woke up to the news of the terrible fire in Mid Sack. I hope everyone is safe but my heart goes out to everyone who lost their home.

Also, I hope those fighting the fire stay safe. My dad was a FF in Sack for 30 years. My heart always beats a little faster when I hear news like this. 🚒

Watching your adult kids get hit by curveball after curveball is difficult. But when they finally get a win, you celebrate hard.

The first day in many weeks that I have the day off and no one else is home. Oh, the peace that comes with the quiet.

I am off today. Still in my jammies. Spent the day "puttering" as my mom would say. Felt good to get some little things done.

Went to the ER last night to get checked out for a rapid heart rate and palpitations. Everything checked out okay. My family doc can follow up. Took about 4 hours and everyone was great, especially the doc in rapid assessment. Reassured me a I did the right thing coming in.

I had a peek at my latest blood test results. A few were a little concerning considering. Beyond grateful to have a family doctor ❤️

I left my chair cushions outside last night because "it isn't going to rain". If this is all it takes, I will happily leave them out for the rest of the summer 🌨
