En route to PEI and stopped at a gas station for a bathroom break and a drink, and I'm reminded that in the UK you can get sparkling water literally anywhere the sell bottled water. And it was good! Not that you can't here, there was just more variety there.

We gave up and shut it down at 8:30. We hadn't had any trick-or-treaters for half and hour. I think we had somewhere around 90 kids.

My favourite trick-or-treaters are the ones that are so small they barely know what's happening. I just had Buzz Lightyear come to my door twice (same kid). Didn't even know to hold out his bucket so I could put treats in it.

Sometimes I forget to unfollow bands that have fallen out of favour with me which means their updates occasionally make their way through the algorithm and to my eyeballs. The latest update from Arcade Fire is that Win and Regine are splitting up. Maybe she's figured out that he really is a shitbag?

I believe they will refund you if you can't make it, but I'm not sure the circumstances under which they would offer the refund. I just know friends of ours got a refund when they couldn't go due to illness. It's worth looking into!
