My donation strategy is to invest at least 50% in local races. I’ve seen the result of flipping a school board and a city council (in 2 different municipalities) to progressive elected officials — and it’s evidence of the power of local politics to change lives for the better.

Texas MAGA lawmakers are terrorizing their colleagues.

They will do anything to cheat because they know they can’t win in a fair fight.

These MAGAs know government works for their constituents, yet they call it “fraud, waste, and abuse” and vote to gut agencies that serve consumers in favor of giving more tax breaks to the wealthy oligarch businessmen who do harm to them. Instead, they spend on torturing people with zero power.

This breaks my heart and makes me furious at the same time. Public schools are a common good, and ALL our kids deserve the absolute best education we can give them.

Kudos to Texas Democrats leaving the state to deny a quorum to delay the planned gerrymander by the Texas GOP.

Obv, the MAGAs are afraid of a fair fight. I really despise cheaters — and a major reason is because it forces the rest of us to cheat to achieve some level of appropriate balance.

Well maybe we better get creative, because it took an alliance of multiple countries to defeat fascism — and the rest of the world is kinda over the United States.

Somehow people always seem to find an excuse to use violence. Even when historically it’s been largely ineffective in bringing about change that benefits the majority of humans. The vulnerable always bear the. Runt of violence. Always.

I know I’m supposed to be able to take a joke, but being a survivor of domestic violence is actually the gift that keeps giving in trauma.
