Now the same character on Star Trek strange new worlds.
26.10.2025 19:32 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm sure I heard that podcast episode when it was out but Iβm going to go listen to it again right now! And watch the episode OK.
25.10.2025 07:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bye Sidney! π
19.10.2025 01:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm OK with all people receiving emergency care, regardless of status. Youβre a heartless monster if you think any human should be denied that. But thatβs not what the right is claiming the democrats are doing, and you are perfectly aware of that, so donβt try to gaslight me.
01.10.2025 20:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Illegal immigrants canβt and donβt get free healthcare.
01.10.2025 19:20 β π 26 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Hunt for Red October, Groundhog Day both come to mind. Or maybe these are just movies I always watch if they come on TV (at least before I cut the cable!)
21.09.2025 18:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Co-sign!
21.09.2025 18:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love all the John Sayles movies, but Lone Star and Passionfish are my faves.
21.09.2025 18:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wow it has been ages since I saw that, maybe since 1982!
21.09.2025 17:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I cannot believe that I used to enjoy that podcast. A long, long time ago.
20.09.2025 21:53 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Way before Toronto got involved!
17.09.2025 17:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whoa - itβs like nobody is talking about this fire, even on X. Iβm the admin for a Facebook group for the Carrizo Plain and that certainly got a lot of attention when the Caliente Range was burning. Bad year for the BLM and biodiversity hotspots.
04.09.2025 21:55 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Uh-oh
03.09.2025 03:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is he trying to eat the weatherstripping like a kea?
30.08.2025 17:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good morning from the burrowing owls!
30.08.2025 13:23 β π 416 π 69 π¬ 12 π 8Totally agree about ST: SNW episode - Anson was acting like a cliche robot, and there was no glimpse of the un-vulcaning procedure. Weirdly choppy writing,
29.08.2025 17:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hereβs the latest: biologicaldiversity.org/w/news/press...
24.08.2025 02:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The wait made it even more delicious when it arrived! Thank you for sticking with it. π Iβm glad youβre doing well.
14.08.2025 19:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So, as with other famous tourist attractions - itβs commercialized and packaged but I still think it was pretty cool and worth it - I learned a lot and Iβm glad I saw it. But Iβm American so probably knew a lot less about it than your average Brit, less of a cliche for me.
13.08.2025 19:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The website is quite complete and I think you can download the audio tour even if you donβt go there. You can skip the shuttle buses (running continually) and walk to the circle from the entry/museum/cafe/shop, as there are other artifacts and stones scattered across the landscape to see on foot.
13.08.2025 19:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My husband remembers going there in the 60s as a child when his family lived in the UK for a couple years, and being allowed to touch the stones, but thatβs no longer allowed. Our visit was right after some protesters had thrown orange powder on them, and they were still cleaning up.
13.08.2025 19:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Was last summer and I donβt remember exactly, but I donβt think it was timed or limited. We circumambulated the site, taking pictures, listening to the audio tour, and chatting with guides. I think we just left because we needed to get going (also turns out we were just coming down with Covid!)
13.08.2025 19:37 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I enjoyed the museum, then thereβs a shuttle bus to the site. A very good audiotour with docents along the loop to ask questions. I really appreciated the whole experience.
13.08.2025 18:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Everyone gets vaccinated, full stop. Then there will be no disease and no treatments are necessary. Youβre trying to drag us back to the dark ages. No thanks!
10.08.2025 15:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs from a 1940s National Geographic magazine issue on California wildflowers, I have a copy. However itβs not cornflowers, itβs sky lupines and other native wildflowers in Kern County, California.
05.08.2025 03:54 β π 12 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0California fish and game started importing them in the 50s but kept at it for a while. Now they are basically an invasive species in my opinion.
03.08.2025 05:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes this is the Rio Grande subspecies that was specifically imported by California fish and game for hunting. I think their effect on things like oak recruitment has not been adequately studied.
03.08.2025 05:53 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0βSky puppyβ π
02.08.2025 21:27 β π 17 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I just about threw my phone against the wall when I heard that that is the most ignorant thing - itβs a huge field of study, obviously.
30.07.2025 15:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0βWeβve never talked about environmental exposures that cause cancer, weβve only talked about chemotherapyβ!!!!! Is he fucking serious? www.cancer.gov/about-cancer...
