I love waking up early on a Sunday, having coffee in a quiet house by the glow of my Xmas tree and reading through @benmoser.bsky.social ‘s absolute roller coaster ride of an evening with both The Bears and The Canes playing.

If I were the mayor or governor, I would simply not allow masked, armed men to kidnap preschool teachers in front of their children. If this isn’t a red line for you as a leader, then I don't know what you think your job is.

Arrest them. Cut power to their facilities. Send out protection patrols.

I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

I don't think we'd have any trouble calling it what it is. Authoritarianism.
