I sat watching the results with some friends at a bar.

Some voted CPC, some voted NDP (our incumbent NDP guy lost to a LPC, FYI).

It was cordial, we discussed platform points (often with humour), and left as friends.

Long may political discussion without derision continue in Canada.

That was one of the most odious of those acts of tyranny which occasioned the American revolution.
