In NC (at least this was the thing back when I was 15) if you were still of high school age, you could go to a community or technical college for next to nothing. I was fortunate enough to be able to take advantage of this.

Well, he’s only 42 and has already been an assistant DA, a Major in the Army Reserve deployed to Afghanistan, served in the NC National Guard, has served eight years in the State Senate, two years in the US House, and is now the elected Attorney General. I wouldn’t call that a “reddit” resumé.

Lookup NC Attorney General Jackson or Lt. Gov. Hunt. Both would be younger candidates that just won statewide.

AG Jackson would be the strongest candidate IMHO.
