Going to start Thief 2 in a couple of weeks, I suspect she’ll enjoy it maybe a bit more than Thief Gold, definitely a fan of breaking into buildings and reading everybody’s correspondence.

She’ll pick them up after but hasn’t tried grabbing them mid-jump just yet.

Into The Maw Of Chaos finished, straightforward level. Whole game came out to ~25 hours 34 minutes.

I had to read it twice to confirm it wasn’t Midwinter.

Did enjoy returning to previous locations, especially happy to see the Hammer temple post-Trickster. Narrative set up for Strange Bedfellows more interesting than plying it.

Strange Bedfellows done, not necessarily a favourite. Last few levels have tended toward objectives that encourage combat and she’s not been enjoying that as much.

Physics issues still tend to cause the most issues, like getting stuck on geometry occasionally. Though she’s mastered Rope Arrows and rarely leaves any behind.

She is very much enjoying it, I think she might be more excited to play each day than I am. I think at this point all but maybe two levels have been done on Expert, and she’s found >90% of the loot - in multiple level she’s found 100% of the loot without my help.

Apebeasts were no trouble, most went down in head-on combat once she found some fruit to replenish her health. Got a little aggressive near the end and just took on three (maybe four?) at once.

Escape! done, don’t think this was a particular favourite. Liked returning to Constantine’s and seeing what has changed and what was behind those locked doors but it’s a bit of a maze.

We were discussing this, my read was that Viktoria is closer to human/better at acting human which is why she talks over him/for him so often.

Though their actual relationship is ambigious enough, I could see being her instrument.

She’d worked out Constantine was off, but had been thinking he was a puppet of Viktoria not that he was the Woodsie Lord himself.

Not her favourite level, enjoyed the layout but not a fan of all the undead or the fetch quests.

After sneaking through the Graveyard multiple times she ended up using some Holy Water and making all 4 Zombies there, including taking out a clump of 3 with 3 Holy Water Arrows. :)

Given the way she plays she’d killed 8 of the 9 Haunts before giving Brother Murus his stuff - and she’d gotten all of that except the candle. The final Haunt went down while looking for Martello’s body. So she’d dealt with them all without being asked.

Yesterday I learned that Brie Larson, who voices Rosalina in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, once threw her boyfriend out of her house because she was trying to finish the final level of Super Mario Galaxy and he told her she was taking it too seriously

Thrown mine from the giant hammer beneath The Eye took out two Haunts and a Zombie.

Did not enjoy the basement. Apparitions are the worse thing in this game apparently - aside from the spiders I tend to concur.
