Having gone to school in Tallahassee and working in the Capitol... that one is distinct (looks like a giant penis)

I honestly think the racism isn't as bad as the sexism. I think Kamal Harris would have won.

I thought 2016 was going to be like 2008 - I stopped making these kind of assessment

I dont think this is true because in 2020 democratic voters chose Joe Biden because democratic voters wanted to beat Trump at all costs even if it meant running an old white guy

I was a Hillary supporter in 08 and 16

Harris in 2020 then Warren ... I am not sure the breakthrough is going to be now and if it isn't we (the planet) are in deep trouble.

I am going to need to be convinced that its worth to try again.

I had this exact belief in 2016.
And I think the downside of you being wrong it an absolute nightmare that must be avoided at all costs

I also think that a lot of racist sexist people think that its not a big deal to vote for people they are biased against in elections other than president and use this to believe they aren't racist/sexist.

I have personally heard this from ostensibly democrats in blue states

That i disagree there are a lot of racist sexist people that vote dem. Sometimes they vote dem dispite their racism and sexism ... and sometimes they stay home.

I think its true in two ways that dont really show up in polls

Dems and swing voters who stay home because they aren't enthused by women as president - they dont admit it

And

The gendered coverage of the campaign.

Higher turn out by women can make up some of this ... but not enough

Not arguing the point just pointing out where the assumption originated

I am still not convinced that Americans will elect a woman.

I also am hoping that she is committed to making the Article I branch functional again.

I think where it comes from is that in Mein Kampf Hitler mention that he wanted to do in the east what the US did in the west ... and also approved of segregation as a good start

My rule of thumb is that the more racist someone is the dumber they are across the board.

It has never led me to a wrong conclusion.

This is like saying the left and right only represent opinions in the French legislature after the revolution because thats where the terms comes from ... and ignoring the history since the creation of the terms

You can be opposed to a zionist project that provides citizenship only to jews and creates a second class citizenship for anyone else and OK with a project where jews have a homeland but the state doesn't have a policy of jews must be the majority and have all political power.
