A2: I scan films using an Epson V550 flatbed scanner and Vuescan as a software frontend.
My bathroom is furnished as a kind of darkroom. I have an old Meopta Opemus 5 enlarger there. Haven't done any printing for some years, though.

A1: I develop films myself whenever possible. CineStill Cs-41 for color films, Adox Rodinal and Adox HC-110 syrup for b&w. Used a lot of Ilford DD-X earlier, but that started to become too expensive.

Wasn't really a night anymore... It was already after 8am, but still dark 😜. Used tripod and timed exposures (1...3 seconds, pure guesswork)

I've loved Sigourney Weaver ever since one of my all-time favorite movies, ALIEN. Couldn't resist going all fanboy on her yesterday & asking for a photo. You're correct. Not just large-format cameras, but basically all folder cameras used the rails system until the 30s. These early 30s Voigtländers were probably the last rollfilm cameras to stick with the old system; e.g. contemporary Zeiss Icons were already using the cantilever system.

Sure, closing it needs a bit more force than conventional designs, but no much. My built-like-a-tank '30 Zeiss Ikon Ikonta is almost as stiff as it.

You could scare cats and little children with this...

Is this #voigtländer Inos II (and its close relative Bessa E) the only self-erecting lens-on-rails folding camera model there is? I'd like to know whether there are any comparable designs.

Think I managed to reset Inos II infinity focus; only a test film can tell how close I really got.
Needed just to bend the shutter bracket a bit more, and remove a burr that prevented the base plate opening fully (was missing just 1-2°s from the full 90°)

Wow

As I feared, the infinty focus of the Inos II is way off the mark. The infinity focus point is now at about the 8m mark on the distance scale. I estimated that I'd need to move the shutter some ~1,5mm further away from the film plane...

Cat Distribution System is working.

Alien (1979) Directed by Ridley Scott stars Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, Veronica Cartwright and Harry Dean Stanton.

I haven't yet checked whether the base infinity focus point is in place. There's no fixed lock for it; a spring system pulls the slider forward, and the arm tries to keep it in check. I'm afraid there will be some trouble brewing...

This feels weird...
