Yes, it is difficult, if at all possible, to establish the exact skin tone of people in the past. Moreover, people could have individual deviations. But I'm sure that these maps are a bit more accurate

I agree, it is largely speculative. I can't imagine an accurate way to deduce every peoples' skin tones. However, it is a good starting spot for choosing a (mostly) accurate skin tone for ancient peoples. It's not my creation, but I see it as a good starting point.
