Tonight, a suspect is in custody in the wake of horrific acts of violence targeting lawmakers over the weekend. Our communities join all Minnesotans in mourning the loss of Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark; and we hold in our care Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette as they continue their recoveries along with all of their loved ones. Speaker Emerita Hortman was a respected leader, an ally to our communities, and will be dearly missed.

Tonight, a suspect is in custody in the wake of horrific acts of violence targeting lawmakers over the weekend. Our communities join all Minnesotans in mourning the loss of Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark; and we hold in our care Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette as they continue their recoveries along with all of their loved ones.
