Yesterday the New York Times instructed staff to avoid publishing photos of Luigi Mangione's face, internal company messages leaked to me reveal.

"The news value and public service of showing his face is diminishing," Times management told staff.

Let’s say, extremely hypothetical, one was interested in purchasing The Onion, either by raising financing via private equity or turning it into a 501c. Hypothetically. You have any insight on what Spanfeller is trying to offload it for? Any thoughts on how to check out that situation without being noisy about it? I am based in Chicago, original home of The Onion, and I have some ideas on how to get capital using a hometown hero hook—as a start. But I want to dig in a little deeper and get insight. If it is gonna be another Jez situation, then maybe it’s better to wait until it is defunct? However I fear some vulture will scoop it to buy the social footprint.
