Like many people, I was impressed and excited by the story of the bus driver who chased a mugger, punched him in the face, then knocked him down and sat on him for half an hour waiting for the police. But I would say that this analysis, by Boris Johnson, is a bit of a stretch.

The small domino was Andrew Wakefield (struck off as a doctor eventually), the next domino was a biggie: national newspaper (The Daily Mail) published his claims more than once (Melanie Phillips). The resultant panic caused a big drop in MMR uptake at the time. The UK press deserves a lot of blame.

After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

I personally did not know about the Boar, but now I'm glad I do. A brilliant piece on the strategies used by the far-right to take advantage of the reactions to their own provocations.
