It’s 1:45 pm GMT - I’ve received nothing today regarding the Emergency Travel Document. I’m guessing I won’t hear anything today. It’s now been nearly three weeks since I applied for one. 🫠

Puzzling as to how the US Veep can feel safe bringing his family to a riot torn hellhole country without any freedom of speech.

Obviously he has security, but could it be just possibly that those claims are on closer inspection almost complete nonsense.

Ugh, glad I don’t live on that side of the Cotswolds. I hope he gets plagued by flying ants and his clotted cream goes runny on his scones.

Tooth-in-eye surgery gives B.C. woman back her independence | CBC News A B.C. woman who was blind for a decade is now able to go for walks without a guide after having her own tooth and a special lens implanted into her eye socket.

Tooth-in-eye surgery is incredible. You get one of your canine teeth inserted into your cheek, and in a few months the tooth and newly formed cheek tissue are removed. A tiny plastic telescope is then drilled into the tooth, and the tooth is implanted in your cornea, restoring some sight.

Warning as fake RingGo car park QR codes appear in city Plymouth City Council say the QR code leads to fraudulent websites designed to steal bank details.

The solution is to be β€œvigilant”? Really? When it’s almost impossible to spot a fake?

Never use a QR code, is the actual answer.

My husband just pointed out that Snowdonia would also be the same region and that’s why our holiday reminded me so much of the Cairngorms. Doh!

Public Science Engagement Using Social Media β€” Center for Wildlife Studies

Friends, it’s never been more important for scientists to break out of the ivory tower and engage with the public.

My course- which you can take for graduate school course credit, continuing professional education credit, or just to learn a new skill- can help.

Please share!

AI is now capable of designing a record-breaking deep sea submersible on its own. This marks a new age of exploration and I encourage all my fellow AI champions to build one and get in it so they can celebrate this achievement from the bottom of the sea.

The brilliant @lmbd1418.bsky.social has suggested people write to the Home Secretary Yvette Cooper re: my case. If you could spare five minutes, she's created a draft letter which you can use to send to coopery@parliament.uk. I appreciate everyone's support. ❀️

Yes. I get what she means by being a cultural Christian but she just comes across as trying to hard to appease that sector while obviously shirking the β€œfeed the poor” and β€œlove your neighbour” teachings

The β€œno God” thing is bold for a Tory MP let alone the party leader. I admire her honesty on that but I don’t think she has a scooby how other people perceive her

β€˜Worrying’ levels of screen time means young people losing confidence to socialise in person, minister warns – UK politics live Culture secretary Lisa Nandy says β€˜majority of young people spend all, or almost all, of their free time alone in their bedrooms, online’

This is not caused primarily by "screen time".

It's been caused by the mass eradication of third places for young people in basically every city over the past three decades - and a society that's hostile to the concept of teens socialising in public spaces.
