Oh come on, you know what I mean.

I'm probably being too sensitive here, it just feels like this happens a lot.

lol, man. This is a whole new level of "Nobody Is Ever Allowed to Be Happy About Anything".

We aren't beating those "progressives hate fun" charges are we?

This is simply untenable. There is no way forward with media and political classes captured by the right. Every time someone commits a crime you have to pray it's not an undesirable or it's purge time, then when it turns out to be themselves again they just shrug and wait for the next one.

These are reactions are *insane* to me.

Say a prayer to those poor Europeans, stuck taking fast, reliable transit through their dense and well laid-out cities instead of paying an oligarch $35 for the privilege of sitting in traffic on a 24-lane highway to get to the Chili's out by the interstate

But large corporations underdtand that if their business is too big to just stop, the government has an interest in stepping into negotiations, ending strikes and imposing contracts.

This has disincentivized bargaining in good faith for the bosses.

obsessed with this vague notice from the government of Nova Scotia. Like it’s definitely about the new fire restrictions, but it also looks like a poster you’d find yellowed and curled on the bulletin board of a diner in a town where locals won’t talk about their missing kids

AI filmmaking and storytelling is punk rock. It’s hip hop. It’s counterculture. It’s a new type of creativity. It’s a new medium. It’s hated by the mainstream film and art establishment. It resists ideology. It ignores gate keeping. It’s uncomfortable. It’s scary. It’s viral. It’s accessible. It’s refreshing. It’s welcoming. It’s here.

My "favorite" Kessler "fact check" was when he called Bernie Sanders a liar for correctly noting that "Three people in this country own more wealth than the bottom half of America." Kessler's argument was that it doesn't count because "people in the bottom half have essentially no wealth."

If you had a 15 year old who said this to you and seemed to believe it, you’d be up all night panicking about what it’s going to cost you in tutors to get them into the 2nd-to-last ranked public university in your state.

Harassers should be stopped, obviously. But when you can't even say that without demanding the conversation turn to race, you have a problem.

The Montreal subreddit has been rageposting about "Indian men at Parc Jarry" for a couple of days and now the most popular post is about organizing a gang to go "deal with it".

In case you're wondering how people are handling the heat.

The subway is not scary. Literal children ride it millions of times every day. Fascists and bigots lie about it constantly and have for years because they’re trying to destroy NYC and our subway, and most things wrong with the subway can be traced to their attacks resulting in its underfunding.

Harrison Faulkner posts: "Live view of the Southern Gaza war zone this morning where the IDF has
been bombarding the Western suburban region of Khan Yunis. Reports indicate that the IDF has conducted at least 30 airstrikes this
morning in Gaza."

Keean Bexte posts twice from Israel:

"Just a kilometre from Gaza, I watched Israeli airstrikes pound Gaza Cityβ€”
over 30 in a single day.
The booms are constant. The smoke never stops rising. This is a full-blown humanitarian crisis, and there is no sign of a hostage
deal. I have never seen anything like this."

Another post:
"I am just outside of Gaza, at the site of October 7th. Erie feeling seeing hundreds of memorials and stories with artillery constantly going off in the
background, 590 days later."

Guess who is posting from all the same spots as the National Post's EIC, with an Exigent co-founder boosting their posts?

Keean Bexte (of Juno "News") and Harrison Faulkner (formerly True North, where he interviewed - jovially - the Proud Boys founder)

Sure looks like the same trip!
