Just a reminder that the shutdown gives the President ZERO new authority to cut programs or fire federal workers. This idea that the shutdown allows him to do things he couldn’t last week is a fabrication.

Literally miles of them, all data centers. Didn't exist a few years ago. And with hardly any employees inside, there aren't even strips malls with lunch spots to break it up. It was all very surreal.

20 years ago, I used to live in Virginia, out by Dulles airport. It was mostly housing developments and office parks along the toll road. Recently, I had to go back there bc kid2 had a hockey game out near Reston. I could not believe the amount of giant, windowless buildings north of route 7.

Understood. For what’s it’s worth, I did try the Proper Cloth route once. Went two rounds on a shirt. Service and cloth were excellent but final fit still wasn’t perfect. Finally developed a relationship with a local tailor and that has worked for me. Good luck!

Are there ready-to-wear options that fit your arms and shoulders? I’ve found that it can be fairly straightforward for a good local tailor to take in the body of a shirt. And I like seeing it pinned up in person.
