Often found on a golf course (the very nice one in the picture) Scottish & politically left of centre. Unhealthily good at MS Excel. Makes a decent espresso & sourdough pizza (gluten free options always available). 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏌️ Back in the 90s I did 🎺 🎢 for a living

They then get their PA to print it out on paper and don’t bother reading it.

If we want to get super-geeky, we use a NativeSQL PowerQuery to send a driver file from spreadsheet (imported from csv), T-SQL query against the Azure Db then bring the results back into Excel before the top bosses ask us to paste a picture of the results into PowerPoint as jpeg then Save As pdf

Much appreciated. I will consult with my pal who knows how to do this stuff without frying kit or himself. I would definitely be at risk of a big bang and/or fatal injury.

Hi @bob-p-dj.bsky.social
Hope you can help. I have an old Cheetah Master Series 5V keyboard bought 2nd hand back in the 90s. It came with a bodged together power supply held together with insulating tape. That died a while back.
Any idea where I could source a 9V DC 5 pin DIN to get it working?

But whatever happens with that, we need to treat hyper rich people as the parasites they are. They hoard wealth, they don’t create it. Take it back from them.

Musk getting lots of publicity for his hypothetical Trillion dollar reward package. As with so much that surrounds him, it’s hyperbole. Even if he were to hit those targets, it would be impossible to liquidate that amount of stock without crashing the share price. It may well eventually be worth $0🀞

The keyboard is marked 9V DC, nothing on it or the manual to state the current. It may well work if it’s powering the correct pins and the PSU can put out 9V. If you’re happy to part with it, I’m willing to give it a go.

Yes. I’ll get the spec from the keyboard in the loft. It was the 5-pin DIN which caught my eye.

Is that a power cable for a Cheetah Mother keyboard in the lower photo by any chance? Been after one of those for ages. Name your Vinyl swap price….

The latest series of South Park is brilliantly savage about Trump & his rΓ©gime.
If they did a UK Version of the latest episode, I think it would be Chris Mason with the brown nose.
Stop promoting Farage you contemptible non-journalist.

I like Zack Polanski more & more every time he speaks in public.
Next year’s Holyrood vote is secure.
SNP 1, Green 2.
When the next Westminster poll comes around, I’ll consider tactical Green voting if they have a better chance of winning my constituency.

Been using Copilot 365 for a couple of months now. Actually very useful.
Ironically enough one of the things it does best is fix massive gaps in the functionality of the core Office 365 suite.
If they fixed the software, we wouldn’t need the AI macros & workarounds.

Zohran Mamdani is going to be very busy as mayor of New York but I hope he can find some time for the vital business of annoying Trump in extremely petty ways. A great start would be to rename the section of 5th Avenue where Trump tower sits. β€˜Friends of Epstein Avenue’ has a nice ring to it.

Maitlis’s interview was the catalyst for one of the biggest stories ever relating to the Monarchy. BBC should be praising her to the hilt but, of course, she no longer works there as the right-wing morons who control it didn’t like her search for truth. She should return as DG when Davie is fired.

De-Princed Andrew continues to deny the allegations against him and will be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
That middle name is hardly free from the whiff of sexual misconduct allegations either.

Labour’s former deputy leader couldn’t work out the right amount of stamp duty to pay. Now the chancellor didn’t know she needed a licence to rent out her house.
Just sloppy. Lack of attention to detail, but trivial compared with Tories Jeremy Hunt’s Stamp Duty avoidance, Gove’s VIP lane etc.

To sum up: when journalists are allowed to do their jobs, the far-right loses. When billionaires and Tim Davie call the shots, the far-right wins.

Agree completely. The Jarrett trio was the absolute gold standard. I remember seeing them in the Royal Festival Hall mid-90s. No idea who was doing any of the gigs in London that night because every musician was in the audience. Captivating from beginning to end.
