It is kind of funny that there's this 5 star national golf destination and in the middle of it all is a giant toilet factory.

I didn't realize that Old St Andrews is owned by the Kohler Company (toilets & wisconsin golf) now.

It was pretty obvious that doing buy-out packages of 100s of thousands of people and paying them a few months severance versus putting them on paid admin leave for a few months before termination were substantively the same, but the latter cooked the jobs books.

The state forests are kind of a neat recreational design. The logging companies build lots of paths/logging roads to access the tracts they are clearing, which then convert easily to hiking, biking, xc skiing, snowmobile, etc. The state takes the logging revenues and re-invests in park amenities.

I don't think an hour long, professionally-made, commercial free program on, say, Northern Door County or 1920s Milwaukee history pencils without subsidies.

I get how this happened (the timber companies sold off the choice land for lake recreation and farming and then went bankrupt and got foreclosed on the rest of their holdings) but it's still kind of funny how deranged these parks/forests are.

Every city in Canada maxes one stat to improve transit ridership.

I do think that people will miss those local public TV series profiling our shared regional histories when they are gone.

I don't know how much epstein matters to the media trump voter, but it clearly matters to the most deranged, most energized yahoos in his coalition.

They just want to walk around in filthy, grimy socks. There's obviously reasons why you don't wear socks and sandals to a place like, say, an inland lake beach.

There's no rhyme or reason to what I am observing.
