I think it’s highly likely and it explains his sudden reversal encouraging Republicans to vote for the release.

He has no reason to take down Trump. Maybe in the future, but Trump is the easiest person to extort to get all the government contracts he wants. If Musk has the files, he can extort everyone in them, just like Epstein did.

We think they have files, but do they have all the photos and videos? I doubt it. The estate doesn’t have those because they were seized by the FBI when Epstein was arrested. The DOJ has them.

This same move will allow Rs to vote for the files to be released to keep their constituents happy without any concern the files will actually be released. It helps them in the midterms.
