Yes, it's a difficult situation. Outwardly he seems like a genuine lad. But we have no terms of reference as the club he joined is nothing like where we find ourselves now and we don't know how he is being advised. I'd like to think he will give his all whilst he is our player.

Guess we missed his peak value in January and now it's about balancing risk of holding out for an acceptable bid vs hoping for promotion and potentially convincing him to sign new contract.

And what lingers are the police interventions, as if such activity is normal and to be expected.
