But yeah, @pookleblinky.bsky.social is absolutely right. A backyard garden can't feed a family. It can supplement things, but it all depends on how much time, effort and money you want to put into it.

So, when I was a kid, we had a decent sized garden out back. Nothing that required heavy machinery.... this wasn't a farm, it was a garden.

My dad used it to grow corn, green beans, potatoes, that sort o thing. Now, we got a lot of green beans out of it. To the point that we had shelves of it.

Look, while I'm a programmer, I'm not involved in the "AI" field at all, nor do I wish to be. In fact, I've never worked on a project that required staying at work overnight.

Closest I ever came to that was working till 9 p.m. or so, and I was pissed because I didn't need to be there.
