The one good thing to come out of this is that the EU is starting to take its own security seriously. It's not a good thing when the US outspends ($1 trillion vs $400 billion), given that the US GDP is only 30% larger. It's unfortunate that they do not have time to correct the ship.

Thanks to the US building the infrastructure for this, which so many people oppose. Hopefully, they will see that these are necessary in the short term as part of a long-term process to move away from fossil fuels.
