If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.

Few people actually read and STUDY Black women intellectual's work or take it seriously. I believe if they did, their work would be much better.
The conversations about love, relationships, ABUNDANCE etc... are all theorized in Black feminist scholarship.

Increasingly I think a major function of “masculinity” IS its crisis — a vehicle for the dominant & dominating group to justify focusing their social attentions primarily on themselves

I don’t think we know enough just yet to understand how this will affect NPR and PBS but both received a very small percentage of their budgets from the CPB. This will however have an immediate effect on local public radio and TV affiliates, esp in rural & Indigenous areas

apocalypses are slow. we’ve been taught to expect a sudden onset, a single catastrophic event, an immediate ending. but it’s the incremental, gradual, interminable removal of all the elements that comprise a polite society.

there is little that separates the AI-altering of film argument from pan and scan we successfully defeated two generations ago.
film has leaped and bound across generations… should new technology retroactively erase authorship? care? artistic considerations? it’s a feckless game

a fundamental argument of the AI-modified “wizard of oz” at the sphere is that it makes it more accessible for younger audiences.
arguably the most watched film of all time for its artistic achievement must be altered away from artistic intent to become ~even more~ accessible?

I think step one to getting laid is being capable of considering the fact that many women and enbies also like to fuck, actually
And the unique focus on getting men laid in a way that they enjoy is just patriarchy

There’s lots of little details in the film that still bug me and make me wonder if Gunn has the juice to bring an intriguing new cinematic universe to fruition. (I don’t think he does.)

I’m getting this piece about the moral absolutism defining people’s pop culture consumption and Superman as well as my first Movies That Fuck column lightly edited by a valued friend today. So they’ll be up before the end of the week.

I said I wouldn’t write in-depth about Superman. But in continuing to get rather intense reactions to my mild, brief note about it I decided to write about how loser-like superhero movie fandom and why. I think it’s odd how people are so wedding their identities to their media consumption.
