People get a weird amnesia about how much every aspect of auto driving has failed when it comes to discussing cars that read speed limits and start forcing your breaks on.

I do not think the tech they are introducing to cars that applies controls to your speed is a good idea at all either. Ways of keeping people safe and dealing with unsafe drivers already exist but none are enforced because its too much effort - auto speed controls are going to be dangerous.
