I imagine in mausritter fashion, most NPCs are mice, but they adore porcaline garden gnomes in someone's lawn or garden.

Some mice want to appease the gnome gods and do cultist rituals, and/or act like gnomes according to the ancient scriptures. (Lawn ornaments)
