Literally the most controversial thing I took home from travelling around south and central America was an opinion that Argentina had the worst food. People refuse to countenance it, it’s wild.

Yes, when kids are going to school.

I honestly don’t think anyone further south than like 40 should get a say. Changing the clocks saves people in the north from an even more ridiculous sunrise time in summer and also makes it possible for waking up, kids going to school etc in the light in winter. (Dep on how early you rise, ymmv)

Yes. And from 51 degrees north in England, the change helps even more. I like having a chance of light sometime in the morning in winter!
