There's a lot about 16 I dislike, but the game's obsession with un-interactive stagger bar enemies with 0 hit reaction is so puzzling because they flatten the whole combat system to just perfect dodge and counter.
It's so over-engineered, only to end up with the lamest possible outcome.

Sometimes I look back at FF16 and wonder how they managed to make a juggle system that doesn't work on any enemy with a stagger bar, and also doesn't matter for any launchable enemy because they all die too fast.
What was the point of it.

I really like what I saw. Jump height, divekick length and wallrun are all variable based on how long you hold the button which leads to a lot of surgical movement, every face button has mutiple context-sensitive uses in combos (1/2)
