This is probably a terrible idea but if I’m travelling I like to use small bank notes to remind me where I am, I guess, and to tempt fate, I’m sure.

I’ve been doing that for several years and the only difference I’ve noticed is no scenes like the one you posted! YMMV but the whole user experience is better.
