A glorious sunset, looking South across Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington Harbour. A tree is silhouetted on the ridgeline of the hills in the middle ground. Wish my phone camera could convey the true majesty of this sunset. There is a stunning depth of colours in the clouds in real life.

Super-simple (mostly store-cupboard) cassoulet: pack of sausages, two tins of mixed beans, tin of sieved crushed tomatoes (or passata), splash of red wine vinegar, good teaspoon of dried thyme. I just drop it all in the slow cooker and leave it on low for the day whilst Iโ€™m out at work.

Ngฤ mihi e hoa. I adore your coastal sunrise photos and videos - the sun rises behind the hills where we are, so we donโ€™t get quite the same early fire. On the plus side, here in Korokoro we get the other end of the day, with the sunsets.

An arm (mine) having blood removed from it. In controlled circumstances, which is relatively unusual for me, as itโ€™s more often a crash or accident. Itโ€™s OK if youโ€™re squeamish - no needle visible.
