It's very much in keeping with I Think You Should Leave, but the increasingly-absurd-grotesque-investigation aspect of it really reminds me of Velvet Glove.

I need to give those games a try.

It would also not surprise me to learn the creators of this show were inspired by "Like a Velvet Glove Cast In Iron."

I don’t think video games should rigidly follow the same formula, but there’s a certain charm to the basics of Metroid (solitude, exploration, “I found this, now I can unlock that”) that really can’t be ignored.

I don't know what the refreshments would be, exactly, but I do know I have a lot of stories where someone consumes something and has a horrific vision, so maybe try to sneak in some gummi bears instead.

Most of the time, yes.

I've had people tell me "Advent of the Clown King," the title story from my collection, would make a good movie. I think someone like Adam Scott or Mark Ruffalo would be a good fit for the main character.

I aim for 52 as well and will probably hit that number by the end of the week. Most years it's around 60.
