When I saw it, it was honestly one of my favorite audience experiences of all time: Just everyone being respectful when need be, and reacting with (non-obnoxious) gusto at all the right moments.

That game is a LOT, but it also definitely has the deep Namco lore going on. I’m dying to spoil it, but I’ve vowed to only tell snippets to friends who are certain they won’t play it.

If you like your Metroidvanias more like Metroid 1-3 and less like 4-5/Samus Returns (3DS), you’re in for a treat.

The thing about King of the Hill is that it never really hit the same highs that either The Simpsons or Futurama did, and yet it also never came close to hitting the lows of those two. Rarely a bad episode, this season included.

That price on the CD unit sounds incorrect to me: I seem to recall it being ~$400 around launch at TRU. The other prices seem correct. Maybe they changed their minds on that before it hit retail?

I’m almost never make impulse purchases, buuuutttt….

1) I got a payment for much more than this that I’d already written off as likely not coming to me.

2) No sales tax at retail right now, and my Target Card got me an extra 5%.

3) Tarriffs looming and all that.

So screw it, it’s mine.

I’ll also never forget my mother’s story of some board meeting in the early 90s that involved their parent company, H&R Block. Apparently the CServe CEO at the time was pushing for them to purchase rival America Online.

The board’s response?
“Why would we ever want to do *that*?!”

Our first cat was a rescue who was found by the wife of one of the CEOs.

I spent countless hours on the gaming forums on my Commodore 64 through our freebie account. It was the first place I ever discussed NES/Genesis/SNES with fellow gamers online.

My mother and stepfather worked at CompuServe from around 1979 until around the time they were sold to AOL. (It’s how they met in fact!)

Lots of memories of this place. I got to shadow my parents and a few of their co-workers for a couple of career days….

Okay, Joseph ninja rolling into a garbage bag in E2 is already a better visual gag than anything in the last few seasons of Futurama.

I feel like the biggest betrayal of the new King of the Hill is that they released all 10 episodes at once. Hank Hill doesn’t scarf an entire propane-grilled steak down in two bites: He takes the time to savor it. (Show seems fine beyond that; I’m limiting myself to one episode per day)

Like I said, the dude’s been using some form of it since 1994, so it’s nothing new for him. AI has broad range of both definitions and applications, and using it just for temp vocals while it’s a WIP is whatever IMO.
