I'm so, so tired of the media talking about his "commitment to good faith debate." I never saw a good faith argument out of that guy; he was realgood at changing a subject

14.09.2025 15:59 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0We keep saying over and over that "every accusation is a confession," but keep finding new ways this is true. I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but it still does shock me how deep it goes.

Was driving me *bonkers*, stupid animated popups any time the cursor even grazes a tool icon. Side note: I wish to god there were any sustainable alternative to Illustrator (Affinity tools sadly lack critical features).
I mean, it would still be surreal and vicariously embarrassing if they had grabbers or spikes. But at the very least they would be appropriately equipped for this task
27.08.2025 18:25 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0They don't even have grabbers or spikes? Something very surreal and vicariously embarrassing about watching military personnel bending all the way over, crouching down to pick up trash with their hands
27.08.2025 18:24 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I don't think people realize how insidious and evil the AI industry is. They are literally trying to get teachers hooked on their product, and sell it to our children in turn. It's like if you blended an MLM, a drug cartel, and Lex Luthor into one apocalyptic cultural mega-ruination system
26.08.2025 23:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0My partner, an employee at a small public school, had a mandatory AI seminar recently. Some goon got up in front of all of the staff and basically gave them an extended sales pitch for how to rely more strongly on AI in their work, and how to encourage our children to rely on it too.

23.08.2025 18:30 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I haven't posted to Facebook proper in a very long time. I still have to use Messenger, though, because most of my friends use it to communicate/plan. :/
Not being on Facebook has improved my quality of life and general mental state though.
Also not for nothing, but the state Capitol is not in Minneapolis and, as a resident of Saint Paul, I consider it disqualifying of a political opinion to casually imply otherwise
23.08.2025 16:43 — 👍 3 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0Funny how nobody ever criticizes "moderate DFLers" and Republicans for not "endearing themselves" to leftists. It's always the left's expected job to cater to the right; never the other way around. It's almost like the entire game is rigged for moneyed interests over people!

23.08.2025 03:53 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This happened to me with Amazon. I cancelled Prime last year and I haven't been on their dot com more than a couple times just to compare prices.
My wallet is happier, I have less cheap bullshit around, and my garbage/recycling needs are notably lower.

And no they didn't pay me to shill; I just really like the thing
I agree 100% that it perhaps puts an expiration date on your work. It takes more effort to keep these things intact into the future.
But things will decay regardless. As a physical-media artist and musician, I believe that we MUST also live in the moment and accept some things to be temporary.
The sort of untethered innovation and inspiration that comes out of working with custom/unique hardware is something I hold dear.
Recently I designed and 3D printed a custom Steam Controller stand so that I could play Groove Coaster at home. It was an extremely interesting and satisfying process!
I got a Playdate a few months ago and it's been a stellar experience.
One of my favorite arcade games is Black Emperor.
I adore music/rhythm games and all their weird control schemes.
I absolutely love what comes out of designing for unique hardware. It's some of the most innovative work imho.
I did. Go look at the other comments. Please consider spending even a minute looking before you react to things

I think I know the answer, but I'd be curious to hear "racist comment" guy's explanation cos I dunno he seems like an embodiment of the old adage about accusations being confessions
I was Batman > Superman for about 37 years until James Gunn's Superman and now it's kind of not even close.
But also thanks to how Batman reads in 2025 as an impossibly wealthy above-the-law vigilante with an obsession over correcting street crime with his fists and institutionalization
