Am too stupid to know even what to look for there not trading xccy basis these days!

I think there's a heady mix of 'sell the us' and actual risk on going on. Definitely expansionary liquidity conditions in general plus selling of dollars

I get the feeling we are all getting confused here. Risk on normally means buying assets with $ because your optimistic about returns. Selling $ because you don't have confidence in it is different.

And only being dragged down by gold...

Cool idea let's tax currently working people without assets to ensure the people who own all the houses never ever need to sell them.

The only safe path is recognising it, integrating it - and then committing to fight against it in politics.

Some recognise it and repress and deny. Roughly that corresponds to 'centrists'. Inevitably it bubbles up in their politics.

The leaders recognise it and celebrate it in themselves and others.

We have a capacity to enjoy cruelty. Some people have never reckoned with it or recognised it in themselves. They are the rank and file of the right.

You have to understand that they do not and will not ever play ‘fair’. They will distort reality in whatever way suits them. Their side are martyrs and anyone else killed by their thugs is just collateral.

The 25th anniversary of Bush v Gore is today. The conspiracy mongering & corruption of the GOP has been brewing for a long time.

Roberts, Barrett and Kavanaugh were all on Bush's legal team, where they pushed unfounded legal theories. SC justices were already enmeshed in voter fraud myths.
