The titles have been the norm for centuries. But the revival of collars among us American pastors (after a couple generations of it being pretty rare except among Episcopal and Catholic priests) is relatively recent.

This is my go-to post for nights when someone in my church (or connections) is suffering or grieving in such a way that I can’t/won’t post about directly.

At full employment, service at local Chicks-fil-A was unprecedentedly bad. Bright-eyed, high sociability canidates all had better opportunities.

2 months now, the service has been *great,* like pre-pandemic levels.

I’m worried.

I routinely tell my brother (a Gator) that Spencer Hall is UF’s all-time greatest contribution to American culture. And that verdict gets ratified every single day on this app.

I mentioned my 10yo’s summer reading to a friend whose 10yo attends one of the best school systems in out state.

She said: “We don’t have summer reading yet. I don’t think he’s ready to read a whole book.”

So far, the main effects of Apple Intelligence seem to be:

- Siri is **way** slower to “launch” on my 15 Pro Max
- Siri answers are worse (cf. @gruber.foo)
- Siri sometimes dials-a-friend to ChatGPT, which is genuinely helpful.
