If 2028 rolls around and I have to choose between a Republican and, like, Transphobe McHomelessbulldozer, who agrees that Of Course roving gangs of heavily armed Proud Boys should be allowed to disappear people they don't like the look of...not sure I see the point in being a part of that.

I'm in the market for a candidate who will at least talk credibly about stomping this regime back into the shitheap it was built from, and that includes abolishing ICE, and for that matter the DHS, which is younger than my career. It means prosecuting people for crimes. Stuff like that.

Republicans get high office and make things worse. Then Democrats get high office and say "I guess this is how it is now." Then Republicans get high office....
It's a broad brush, I know. But will the next Dem even TRY to dismantle the camps? How much money would you lay on that?

I came of voting age in 1990. I've been voting for the lesser evil my entire life. And guess what, we're a Concentration Camp Regime now!

Been seeing a lot of back-and-forth about the heuristic value of "vote blue no matter who" and I gotta say
As evil just kind of...accrues around us, voting for the lesser evil feels a lot less compelling.

I should say I learned this from @swordsjew.bsky.social, where I learn most of the things I learn
I'd link to it but I haven't learned that yet, frankly I'm stunned that this is working at all, it'll be my first thread if it does

I meant to thank you sooner, but I'm not good at that sort of thing, by which I mean telling people stuff.

Well now seems like a good time, or maybe a bad time, to thank @rahaeli.bsky.social for introducing me to Dr. Bajaj and targeted radiotherapy. I got my first course of treatment last week, so thank you for that, and I wish you well.

I hear I should post at least one thing so I look less like a troll when I'm lurking, which is all I ever do, so I'm trying to think if I've ever had an original thought, and all I can think of is my formulation of free will. But I don't think it'll fit here, there's like a whole analogy involved.
