Politics/IT nerd, trying to filter wheat from chaff of the information flood. Enjoys the promulgation of malaphors and Wildean epigrams.
Lovely late night timeline cleanser and imagination activation.

We're already in #idiocracy do we really have to LARP #dontlookup ?
I happen to have edited my God down to nothing, but as long as someone else that hasn't doesn't bother me, then peace be upon him.
If someone tries to edit *my* definition of God, then I would be annoyed.
I'm an atheist, not annoyed. Sounds perfectly reasonable.

It will also happen across India, Asia, China, Russia and other major populations.
The world and humanity in 2125 will look nothing like today.
One of our better ideas getting those manufactured, nice to know they work as designed and keep people alive.
24.09.2025 13:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think your focus on Disney is wrong. It was the affiliates that put the pressure on Disney because they were the ones who Carr had power over.
Disney pulled the show, but hadn't cancelled it. Then people started boycotting, enough to spook Disney, who gets *direct* revenue from streaming.
I'm sure they are working on it, but this is worse because they know that not only will they be facing the DOJ, but that Trump will use every arm of government to fight them.

But hey, the law seems to be "flexible" in the US these days.
So that merger needs a rule change as well as approval. So ABC/Disney caved because they were threatened with losing their broadcast affiliates.
Nextar heavied Disney after the FCC/Trump heavied them and threatened the merger.
Complete extortion and authoritarian behavior.
Paramount+ needed FCC approval and the chair Brendan Carr basically threatened them which is why CBS cancelled Colbert.
Nextar needs FCC approval because the merger will control stations that reach 80% of the US.

How many people realize that the press that has cravenly collapsed with censorship is controlled by the FCC licenses, and FCC approvals for mergers:
CBS was part of the Paramount+/SkyDance merger
ABC is broadcast by Nextar which owns 10% of the stations and wants to merge with TEGNA.

17.09.2025 06:10 β π 9 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0Love Deco, but can't help thinking that it looks like an iHotel by Apple?
Just the curved corners, which I love, now mean iPhone, iPad, etc.
Although sadly, as of this year, Apple are ditching the "squircle" and moving to just boring circles.
I'm pretty sure it's not just a "coin flip". People that actually live in reality know the benefits of vaccines, both economically, but for community health.
As for "sticking a finger", the way to do that is to make politicians in Congress, particular Republicans actually grow a spine against RFKjr
What's going to make it uneconomic is the removal of immunity from lawsuits for companies that manufacture vaccines.
Currently you can't sue the manufacturer, but the trumpists are talking about removing that immunity.
It's there to encourage companies to actually make them.
He didn't tell you *what* he roasted in that pot roast, did he?
