I taught at a regional comprehensive at the time (Western Carolina University) and this is exactly what we did too. That “hybrid” teaching model required so much extra prep, it felt like teaching every class twice

I regret to share the news that Sir Fitzroy R. Augier--founder of the Association of Caribbean Historians and known to his friends and colleagues as Roy--died yesterday at the age of 100.

The AHA ceased to be intellectually important decades ago - its conference is not a must-attend and its journal is not a must-publish-in; this is a good thing - there are so many intellectual centers within the American historical profession. Nothing is lost by withdrawing. 🗃️
