I’m looking for grants/funding to hire someone with disabilities, and there are all kinds of programs (SO MANY) to support (aka alter/improve/bestow skills of questionable value 😝) the person with disabilities and none to fund an employer to assign a buddy employee for a while.

When therapy folks ask what my son’s “motivators” or “preferred activities” are, I tell them “having a meaningful role.” Most of them fail that interview 🤪, but every so often someone lights up and then I know we’ve found a new person for his village.

I think you gotta take care of your author soul. If here isn’t it, go - it’s okay if it might cost you a few sales. (I’m an author who quit all professional social media). I hang out here as a book-loving human who isn’t selling books and that’s actually fun (and a major source of book recos!)

Saaaaaaame (also I’m a lefty and the choices were constantly smearing the newly written words in pencil with the side of your hand or hand and wrist contortions. Printing at least lets you take a quick break from the contorting).

It’s worth reading the first part of this “cookbook” just for the incredibly affirming perspective on food aversions. Hiiiighly recommend.
