It is a bit annoying to open the account in that first place because I think you needed an address to open the account and an account to get a lease. It’s worth planning ahead with your workplace or coworkers to use a temporary address if this might be an issue.

No, you can get an overdraft that will allow you to exceed your balance, and they would charge interest on the overdraft. The app works well for transferring money to other individuals or paying bills, instantaneously and for free. US banking is a hot mess compared to the UK system.
