I got my NCE, but that was back in late Aug. I put in for it back in July when you had to justify it and then the day after I got it you didn't have to justify it anymore. Best of luck!!!!! Hope you all are doing well.

Hey Erin- Did you find out anything about this? My R01 renewal (7th percent) was supposed to go to council June 2nd but now it says council review complete and I never got a JIT request?

Screenshot of email from NIH PO that reads: β€œUnfortunately, they have become very strict this round with the use of the word Aims (even if the PIs meant program projects) to describe discrete projects in their research strategy. This was decided at the Director level. There were a few other PIs that were I the same boat and all the applications were withdrawn.”

PSA for NIH R35s: My R35 was administratively withdrawn this year because I broke my Future Research into β€œAims” & they said this violated the β€œDo not submit a Specific Aims page or identify specific aims” policy.
So. Don’t use the word β€œAims” in an R35 - use β€œProjects”. #critical
