I’m sitting watching my daughter’s first jazz dance class. I showed her a video to see if she thought it was something she would like and I’m just now realizing it was a video of a competitive dance team and I may have really mis-set expectations 🫣

My son turns 3 next month but is already full on telling me I need to go upstairs and leave him alone so I feel it’s safe to say we’ve already entered the threenager phase 🫣😭

My daughter asked Santa for a rainbow spatula when she was 3. I managed to get one just under the wire. She was more excited about it than any other gift so it did feel worth it!

Both my kids love(d) sour cream at 2. Kids are so weird!

And I feel like Frozen 2 is also scary! Certainly creepy, but my daughter watched that around 3-4. She still won’t watch Toy Story bc the little army men scared her around that age

Also our high today was 87° but as soon as the AC hits her she demands sweats

My 6yo daughter is wearing a new sweatshirt I bought her, which happens to be white, and it’s taking everything in me to not constantly tell her to be careful not to spill something on it. Why did I do this to myself??

As someone with early morning insomnia omg do I miss living in the Pacific Time Zone! I really need to make some friends in Europe!

The thing about school starting at the beginning of August (as my 1st grader’s does) is even if the kids are in school it’s still summer for everyone else. My brother and SIL are visiting for a week, my aunt and uncle want to see the kids, there are lake outings and local events. My head is spinning

Last year our family planned a Disney trip for fall break we ended up canceling due to hurricane Milton. My now 6yo still doesn’t know and I feel this may be my best ever parenting decision.

Not something I normally buy but I’ve been having stomach problems lately and they’re a safe food.

I just opened up a pack of Ritz peanut butter crackers and both my picky children (2&6) nearly grabbed it out of my hand, so I guess I’ve solved food for the day

When my son was 1.5 and said little else he would chant “French fries” at restaurants while we waited for food, and run to the door saying the same when we got DoorDash. I may as well give in and not order anything else, they’re all he ever eats anyway

I was worried my daughter would have trouble getting up for school at 6 today. She was up at 5. I aspire to your ability to embrace chaos!

Not sure if he’d be into these but my daughter loves the Unicorn Diaries and to a lesser extent the Owl Diaries by the same author. She’s 5 now but we started those when she was 4

When I was a teen I’d get 3 or 4 a year. Every time I’d tell the doctor “I have a sinus infection.” They’d say “it’s probably x or y that’s going around.” I’d say “I’m a competitive swimmer and every time I go under water my head feels like it’s going to explode.” Then Id walk out with antibiotics.

This is my daughter 100%. I ask her who was sick or who got in trouble when I’m desperate!

Colds suck. I don’t understand why people expect others to just act like nothing is wrong and keep going. We all should be able to rest and have our loved ones take care of us!

Inspiring!

I was really excited for winter break to start so I could spend more time with my 5yo and get a break from the morning rush to catch her bus at 6:50. Yesterday was her first day off and by 8am she was telling me she was bored. 😩

We spend as much time outside as my migraines will allow but I’m not really a quest type person and tracking things stresses me out so it doesn’t really appeal to me.
