the west wing is a show about the most romantic line ever spoken on television in a show where i don’t think anyone knows how to actually have sex.

i WOULD start listening again if she was like “i am always on an airplane nicer than all of your shitty little apartments and tract homes” because that would be so funny.

what’s she supposed to do, write “every day i get on my private jet and think about ways to get more of your money, more than i could ever ever spend.” she could do fiction but she decided she wouldn’t anymore once she got the critics back on her side by doing something interesting for once.

sorry to say anything about an album i haven’t listened to but the criticism of “she always goes back to high school!” is fair but also funny bc of course she does, that was the last time she lived a life in any way relatable to her fanbase, who she wants to keep calling her “bestie” earnestly.

i think the key to maintaining long distance friendships is loving talking on the phone and being willing to call people whenever. stop trying to schedule phone calls, this isn’t a chore! it’s a delight! let’s catch up!!!!! if you can’t talk now just don’t pick up!

sometimes when someone is visiting i try to give them directions to somewhere and am like “well you can take this bus or this bus or the train and maybe also a bus” and they’re like “can i just call an uber?” and tbh i genuinely forget that’s an option. get behind me, satan!!!

just saw one guy on a street corner give another guy a HUGE vegetable of some kind (it was light green and shaped like an asian eggplant but over two feet feet long) and they were both so stoked about it. fantastic interaction to observe from across the street.
