We Contain Solitudes by Seven Crows Games A 2 player TTRPG about troubled souls trapped in a time loop that plays out in prose and soliloquies.

With the close of spooky season, it is time to ring in the season of introspection by playing We Contain Solitudes, my new 2 player ttrpg.

It's pay what you want, so there's nothing stopping you from grabbing it and playing it.

The game is pay what you want on itch, and I would love for you to grab it and try it out.

It's a more experimental RPG, that is doing some new and interesting things, it'll be a new and strange experience you can share with a friend.

An illustration of faces in flat black, white, and red. The faces are tesselated together, facing left and right. One face has a single tear rolling down its cheek, and forming a drop on its chin.

The cover is by @helveticablanc.bsky.social and it was so cool to get to work with them on the cover for my little game.

Anyways, the process has been working well so far. I got some great insights and feedback from bringing the game to playtest zero (which is a very cool and good discord)
I got to use that session as a first swing at the material and situation that I was planning for the other playeltest, which is

It was a fun little bit of TTRPG archaeology, picking up an unfinished, somewhat fragmentary game, and playing it as best we could. Lots of homebrewing and interpreting and playstorming.

Not nearly as rigorous (with no data vis or anything) I would say my year was a 3 way split of Apocalypse Keys, my own game We Contain Solitudes (all playtests), and Apocalypse World: Dark Ages

I was sacrificed for the land and all I got was this essay On Luke Jordan’s Harvest, a masterpiece of folk horror

@newmadras.bsky.social goes down the folk horror rabbit hole, comes out with a bunch of movie references and his Game of the Year.

Been meaning to write about this game for ages and finally did. Games are very good sometimes! Here's one!

Absolutely loved this game. Weird-as-you-want worldbuilding, characters you instantly care about, and all building towards an almost (but not quite!) guaranteed tragic ending. Get it.

Took a lot of inspo from Darkest Dungeon for my game Girl by Moonlight.
The tension of a character hitting their stress limit and usually breaking, but sometimes triggering their virtue was something I tried to replicate with my Eclipse rules.

If the game weren't so self serious, I might actually do so (also, the legal implications of using a still from a TV show as the title of my game are beyond my ability to comprehend).
