Deaf in one ear today. Really scary :-(

Whilst realising there are people with far, far worse problems, it has been a trying few weeks. Third week of really awful ear infection, car diagnosed with serious and very expensive problems, floods all around and the ground so soggy, a tree uprooted and fell on the roof today. :-/

This is the weirdest (and possibly most unpleasant) infection I’ve ever had. Probably against my better judgment I’m going to do the gig tonight. Times like this I really miss being part of a duo.

Most horrible ear infection… deaf in one ear with raging tinnitus. A bit panicky that it won’t improve as I’m in my third week of this now. :-/.

Permanently bewildered about what day of the week it is at the moment.

70 isn’t old to be fair :-) I’m trying my best to make the best of life :-)

I had a birthday yesterday (Monday), and maybe for the first time, I’ve really felt such intense appreciation for the people in my life. Who knows how long I’ll have them all or how long they’ll have me? I’m getting old and I just want to stop fretting over a load of bollocks and just enjoy life. X

3…2…1… Happily having a lazy day today, after a busy and diverse musical weekend. Trio gig Friday, duo gig Saturday and solo gig last night.

Sheep have been collected. Piano still on patio. Bathroom light repaired after 15 years. Rehearsal with band one today. Need to rehearse EWI twiddles and dreaded solo gig tomorrow. Eek.
