It won’t cover disabled or chronically ill people

It won’t cover those in poverty

It won’t cover catastrophic illness

What happens to them?

They die.

This isn’t a healthcare plan. It’s an elimination strategy.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

A handful of companies control the pharmaceutical industry.

The evidence of corporate concentration is everywhere.

Epstein's survivors today spoke out again. They have stated that they are working with lawmakers to change the system that protects Pedophiles. Also they stated that if names don't show up they will let it be known. They are tired of how society views teens and rape. They are tired of threats.

Women shouldn’t have to endure hell when they’re abused only to be forced to go through hell, again, in order to obtain basic justice.

This perpetual, traumatic, systemic oppression and violence against women must end.

Alice Wong fought tirelessly against institutionalizing disabled people.

She understood that we deserve autonomy over our care.

That healthcare is a basic human right and people should receive the support they need to remain in their homes & communities.

My question is who is doing all the Epsteining for these powerful wealthy men now?

For the Disability community, losing Alice Wong is like losing Ursula Le Guin or Octavia Butler. She was a powerhouse, a pioneer, and a mentor to many. She taught me so much. And always reminded me what we were fighting towards, as well as against. I miss her clarity, bravery, and joy.

We should not forget that Alice Wong could only go to college because she had access to Medicaid. People with disabilities can only thrive and survive if society chooses to invest in them the way it invests in everyone else.

Something that sticks with me: Alice Wong didn’t really gain notoriety for her work until the last decade or so. How many people who use wheelchairs or who have significant medical disabilities does the world write off simply by how we visually perceive them? Farewell, Alice.

Alice Wong was one of the most effective people challenging the Whiteness of disability communities and its many flaws, but who believed fiercely in us as a community, in disabled people as oracles.

Alice brought so much to so many of us, it’s hard to measure the kind of gratitude I have for that.
